Some of the transactions on the site need to be approved by our administrators. In some cases, this is simply a part of our business process, in others it is because we need to proof read and check that nothing abusive is being created. These transactions are 'pending' within our system.

Some examples:

1) If you elect to pay by cas or via a bank transfer, we need to confirm that we have received your money before you can proceed.

2) If you open a pop-up gallery and take out a subscription, we need to verify that the gallery name is acceptable.

This is both for your protection and ours, but means that there will be a short delay until an administrator can check and approve. In some cases, for example approving a payment, the delay may be outside of our control as we are limited by the speed of banking systems etc.

When a transaction appears in our approvals list, we wll endeavour to meet the following service targets:

Transactions created between 8.30am and 6.00pm GMT on a Tuesday to Saturday, will normally be reviewed within 2 hours of being raised.

Outside of these hours, we operate on a best endeavour basis, but will try to review within 6 hours.
